swap maybe?

so i have to change my trans, of course i'm going for the accord auto swap, don't really have the time and funds to do a manual swap. i was thinking of swap out the motor as well because in terms of labor its going to be cheap, me and buddy will do it.

now i was thinking maybe throwing in a type s motor because one can be had for pretty cheap, and it would be a nice upgrade, but at the same time i'm thinking of maybe doing a 3.5/3.7 build, my thing is i don't have a garage so my parts will be basically everywhere and anywhere they fit. my motor is in really good shape, it has never giving me a problem, i've always maintained it well.

what do you guys think?

You'll need a new ECU if you get the J32A2. If you do a 3.5L/3.7L build, you will also need a new ECU.

I would just go with a J32A2 for now. 3.5 down the road.

From what I have found on j32a.com the 3.2 has thicker cylinder walls. So of you want to go with a power adder ( n2o turbo or s/c) then use an Odyssey 3.5 crank rods and RL pistons in a j32a2 block. The rl pistons are the same bore as the 3.2 but the wrist pin is in a different location. I would say do a lil research on that site before you do any motor swaps.

I forgot to add that the 3.5 rotating assembly is forged making it stronger.

There was someone recently who did that exact build on that forum. They specialize in swaps. Putting the j32a2 in civic hatches and different things. There are a few guys building custom headers intake manifolds and all sorts of things like that. I'm considering a similar build but with 3.7 pistons wich are higher compression and a 90mm bore instead of 89mm. Just don't know about the wrist pin location.
