Survey in the Mail..

The other day I received a survey on the navigation system. Mostly dealt with the availability of address, shortest routes and speed at which the imformation was obtained.

But the question that stood out was, if made available would I be interested in receiving personally modified data on my Nav Screen. HELL YA! Anyway apparently from what I gather, you will log on to a website, setup with the information you want to see on the NAV. ie, news, weather, personal address book (Which we have but to a small degree).

Did anyone else received this? And do anyone know if this coming in the near future. I think that would be reall cool to do such things on the nav. But I feel that we will have to purchase additional components for our system. I don't know how much or what type of memory storage is in the Nav System.

Although I would love to have this too, I highly doubt we'll ever see it in current models. I think there would be too much hardware/firmware/software to update or replace to make this cost effective. I imagine this is Acura doing market research for future navi models.

As a software engineer, I couldn't agree more. That won't be available in our models. If it ever was available for current models, I would be very surprised by acura.
