Post Sunroof Visor

Is the sunroof visor worth the effort? Does it really work, or will it just scatch up the top of my TL? I negotiated the visor in my deal when I bought the car. I'm still deciding what to do. I really like the lines of the car without it, but if it cuts down wind noise with the sunroof open it might be worth it.

How much is a factory sunroof visor? Could i get a aftermarket one that would fit the TL? Just wondering cause i'm considering getting one. Thanks for all the help.

it's gonna ruin the paint that's in contact with the visor...you can probably remove it with a good waxing job. but i took it off and left it off cause it causes wind noise.

I heard it actually creates MORE wind noise with the visor on. I'm not sure if this is for real since I've never had it on myself.

Hampton Roads in the HOUSE

I thought about it but I decided against it.

Cause it doesn't look as good as well as it doesnt serve a major purpose in my mind.

i've had the visor on for the first 3 month... it doesnt create more noise... i think quite the opposite it removes cabin noise so that u can speak in a normal voice while going 90 on the highway... but i took it off since it kinda messes up the lines of the car... and it did mess up the paint under it like bahreeTL says... but since its on the roof its not too visible

If you like to drove with the roof open the visor is great, it really cuts down on the wind noise and turbulence. As far as the paint goes, put on a good coat of wax before installing the visor and don't worry about it.

    Thumbs down

I think it make the car look cheap. But then, I think that's true of spoilers and body kits too...

    I wouldn't do it.

I second Black2000 on all points.
Leave the lines the way they are, the car is so sleek and purty w/o additions.

You don't like body kits and spoilers? Now, I'm not talking about those kits that make your ride look like the Starship Destroyer in Star Wars. I'm talking about the subtle factory style body kits. I personally think it's nice.. and that's why I have them on. But I guess it all depends on personal preference.
