I just called park ave acura re: the service of my timing belt.
I figured I would take that time to have them install my UR crank pulley but they told me they no longer install aftermarket parts on our acuras, they stopped doing it about 5 months ago. I have called a number of other acura dealers and no one seems to want to install it for me. The only other solution I have is to go to a local mechanic but I am very very skeptical. What do you guys think, any suggestions? Thanks

Well, any mechanic shop is skeptical unless you know someone works there. Ask aound for referals in your area. Dealers work is not always good neither. they messed up my car a few times.

You're right re: dealers work, but I am more comfortable taking the car to someone who deals with acuras all day.

Do it yourself, it cant possibly be that hard (I have never installed one on an acura) and I am sure somebody could give you a write up.

Its not like teh part is any different in how its put on than other cars. Half the time the guys at the dealer are worse than the independant mechanics

Check out Carmen's in Cranford. He installed my brakes (rotors, pads, lines, flush) and did a great job. They only work on Honda and Acura.

They're on North Ave just off the GSP.
