So would that effect my MPG?
The 4 speeds got that too. Im 6 speed now and get the same mileage as i did with the 5 speed even though im 750 rpm higher on the hwy.

Tires can make a huge impact on mpg, Pressure in them as well. Dirty EGR ports, aging or bad o2s, dirty fuel injectors, valves that need adjusting, spark plugs. Your ticking, where is it coming from, drivers side near the firewall or the engine?

It depends on your tires. I'm running 19" tires.

I'm getting a solid 350 mpg for my daily driver.

Rare long trips around 400 mpg.

Yes, i know. Im running 255/35/18 with 38psi for normal driving, 42 for hwy (when i know im going to be traveling)

BUT, Its a simple question. What PSI are you running. What is "Enough, not too much" Yes, every tire has a max psi rating and many are different from each other. But the question asked wasnt what is the tires max psi, its What is ENOUGH, NOT TOO MUCH = in PSI

Man I don't know. I'm not that meticulous about the air pressure in my tires. When I put air in I check the tires (Nexen N 3000) to see what the max is and get close to it.

I get 21.17 MPG with my 225/35/18's (Michelin Eagle RSA's) on 90% highway. And I have a max PSI of 44 but have it set at 46-47 on the rears (nothing ever in the rear seats or trunk) and 44 in the front.

I think you will know you have too much PSI when the ride gets awfully stiff around town and on potholes. I am always on the high way so I dont feel it too much unless I am around town.

Air pressure in tires..You start with the manufacturer recommendation and go from there never going lower then that spec and check your tire pressure regularly. For ex: After a few fill ups or when the temperature changes drastically like too hot, your tire pressure can change up to 4
psi.

Valves will start clicking and then you know they need to be done or just do it to get it done with.

Note: Valve adjustments are a back breaking job.....

my 99 TL-P gets 380-400 hwy per tank using 93 octane, it needs plugs, CEL is on, 1/2" taller tires than stock (on TSX 17's), and 217K on the odo.... almost time for TB/Water pump, valve adjustment.... I baby it because its on its 2nd/3rd tranny, G'Ma was kinda fuzzy on the details when she gifted it to me in '11, so I drive a bit "scared" lol

Only engine mods are Stage 1 exhaust and CAI-why tempt fate and fiddle with near-perfection?
