Sudden boggin down while driving
I've noticed recently, that while I drive on the freeway, my car would slow down for a second before resuming speed. It's not the same as braking but more like something is 'boggin" down the engine. I'm afraid that someday it would slow down for more than 1 second and..... all hell might break loose.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Downshifting at random times is not related to the EGR valve. A defective EGR valve will cause the engine not to excelerate when you push the gas and the RPMs will not move.
Downshifting randomly is caused by a faulty transmission which should be covered by the extended warranty. Downshifting will cause the RPMs to jump up during normal driving and the car will slow down because the engine will be revving higher than normal.
You might have both issues and are confusing the 2. Bring it in to your dealer and both should be covered under warrranty.

My dealership sucks since they'd only fix anything IF i can replicate it at the day I bring it in.

If you see strain on the engine every few mins out of nowhere, it's your a/c compressor cycling. You can really feel it while highway driving up an incline.

I get that bogging down feeling too, like the car is about to stall. It usually happens when I'm crusing consistantly at a very low rpm. It started happening after I changed my headers, so I didn't take it to the dealer to get it checked out. I'm just past 50,000 miles, am I not covered anymore?

After reading this thread, I think that is what the problem is. I guess I wont know till I get it replaced and find out.
