what size is our stock sub????
I want to put a slightly larger one into the stock spot and hook a larger amp to it. Or, build a box for better air flow.. what should I do?

hey i dont know about 2nd Gen.. but my 3rd GEN is 8" SUB>...and i dont really know if you could put any bigger. i think the space it MEANT for an 8" sub. you know watt might be a nice idea which i was going to do for my 3rd GEN... and BAZOOKA.. the ones that are built with amp already. that way you just need to get signal from current sub and and power. and its not that much space taken..

teh 2nd gen is a 9" yup 9. you are better off building a box and getting a better sub. trying to find a FREE AIR 8 or 10 inch sub that is going to be a vast improvement is going to be hard. try hooking a different amp up to the stock sub, it will sound better, especially when you bypass the eq

so I have a 9in sub eh, very odd. I was lookin at it and it's really freakin small underneith... like the magnet must be so lightweight and crappy. What I think i'm gonna do is get the power frequency from the stock system and run a new amp to that and build a small box for a 10in sub to hook in to . Maybe JL W7...yum
