Strange Noise

I get a strange noise when I drive. I have an '01 TL. The noise seems to go with the spinning of the wheel (not the steering wheel, the wheels that touch the ground!) You can only hear this noise (as a driver) when you drive near a wall (so that the sound bounces back to you or past a line of cars. It's not very loud, but I want to make sure the noise is not a sign of a more serious problem. Please help! I don't make much money so taking it to the dealership is not the first option (car is no longer under warranty) Thanks in advance.

Sounds like time for brakes. Get it checked out.

Does the noise sound like a fast clicking or ticking?
