I disagree- It will not bump harder but will sound cleaner/less muddy. But it really is just better to take that POS out and run a seperate amp/sub.

I left the stock Bose speakers in cuz u really wont get an aftermarket set up that'll sound much better, for the money your gonna spend. Once you disconnect that stock sub and put a new one in your trunk with a new amp to push it you'll be like ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I tried replacing the stock Bose sub with an 8in. MTX and using a different amp, it was a disaster. It sounded horrible, it was louder, but the whole rear deck started to rattle if you turned it up at all, not to mention, the Bose sub is a special type that doesn't require a sealed box, it's called free air or something. I would say go completely aftermarket with a sub and amp in the trunk in a sealed or bandpass box, the people at Acura designed the system the way they did for a reason.
