stock alarm
The only disadvantage is the stock alarm has no motion sensor, or glass breakage sensors/ impact sensors. The stock system has a very good Imobilizer system to help prevent the car from being stolen. It does not sound alarm if someone atemps or breaks your windows. So for example someone could break your windows climb into your car take stuff & climb back out.
They could also try to take your wheels or headlights.
The stock alarm would not sound for any reason unless the person would open the door to the car.

Rayman.... You can definately have a remote start hooked up to the factory "keyless entry" It doesnt have the options as an aftermarket system does...( when the car is running, you have to unlock it with the key because when the car is on, the factory remote is dead ) But this is what I opted for. I didnt want an aftermarket remote, light, or anything. It ran me $200, and was definately a great investment. I never get into a cold car anymore!

why do u need the valet key ?
Your car has an immobilizer system. Only way to get it started is with the chip in your key. If you want to remote start your car, you will need to have the chip wired and hidden somewhere in your car. That is the only way your ignition system can read the code.
