stock alarm
I am too lazy to read the manual, but how does our stock alarm work? I don't seem to make the alarm go off. Unless I press the panic button. Anyway to test it out?? Thanks in advance!!
Ok, now I am getting mad!! I did everything the manual said and the things you guys ask me to try. The alarm doesn't go off. I can see the security light on, but as soon as I unlock the tab it disconnect itself. Do you think I will need to take it back to the dealer?? Oh well, maybe I need to since my second oil change is coming up soon.
are you sure your dealer included the relays and the sirens when you made the purchase? i've been hearing different things, because i had to pay extra for that stuff but apparently other people haven't. maybe that's why? just a guess...

Before going to the dealer, you need to try it again. The alarm does not immediately arm itself. I can't remember if it's 20 or 30 seconds, but you can tell by watching the light. It will blink at a steady rate and once it's armed it will change to a slower blink. When that happens try it. I guarantee it will work.
Just to make sure your doing it right, follow these steps:
1) Roll down your window
2) get out of the car and shut the door
3) lock your doors with the remote
4) watch the light and when the blinking rate changes, unlock the door using the tab.
It should also go off if you reach inside and pop the trunk or the hood.
There are other ways of trying this, but this will work.
