steering wheel shakes

Is it just me or does anyone else's steering wheel shake REALLY hard when you are past 90 MPH? when you put on the brakes it is very annoying. is there something wrong with my TL or what?

if your wheel is shaking while your driving and not braking then your tires need to be rebalanced. If your wheel is shaking when you brake then your brake rotors are warped and need to be resurfaced.

I had the same problem, almost. Using the breaks on the highway between 80-70 mph would cause the wheel to shake. Dealer replaced front pads + rotors. No problems now and a whole front break job for free.

I thought when u brake at about 70-80mph it would be normal. Well mines does do that so what is the warranty on brake pads a rotors. Please tell me It isnt 12month/12k. On Jan 22nd it will be one year for my car.

Is it NOT normal for your steering wheel to shake while braking. Your rotors are warped. As far as I know the warranty for the rotors should be the same as the car warranty. Call Acura to make sure.

our cars do have a known issue with the brake rotors. If you talk to Acura they'll tell you. Our brakes are POS, acura knows about this issue and will resurface it free if the car is still in warranty. they may even replace your pads.

Touch up paint is 4.95 here. I hope u dont got a WDP car, all it does for me is cover the scratch so it wont rust. You can still see the chips.

My front rotor and brake pads were not covered. I had the rotor re-surfaced and pads replaced at 26K miles.

Acura of Pleasanton and Steven Creek both told me that this is not part of warranty and is treated as wear and tear item.

Cost me close to $300 to get this done.
