Steering wheel
Steering wheel
I own a 2000 TL and my sterring wheel is really rubbed out and ugly. Anyone know if the S-Type steering wheel would fit my car. There are a few on ebay in my color (Beige) but the sellers are not sure if they will fit.
I would love to get a wood one but those are a fortune.

Is it the leather part that looks rubbed out and ugly?? Cuz there are products on the shelf that can restore that. I mean I had the same problem with a used Wood Wheel that I bought and I tried so many cleaners.. but none seem to do the trick. Then I tired Shoe Polish and baaam.. worked! Try these options before going for a new wheel... it might be worth while.
a quick search would reveal a bunch of threads with good info about replacing steering wheels.
i know this becuase i had searched for the same topic a while ago, and found a chock-full of good info
one of the threads in particular even had Honda illustrated instructions to replace the steering wheel with a wood/leather one. someone in another thread posted where to get brand new leather/wood wheels for free (since a dealer was throwing them out, he found them sitting by the dumpster at the rear of the dealership).

I'm telling you.. I used this shoe polish thing that I got with my Kenneth Cole Shoes.. the crap worked great.. when I get home next weekend from school, I'll post some pics for you if I can get my camera to work.
No..what I used was this sponge applicator thas has low polish in it already. When I get home this weekend I'll put some pics of it and show you. Cuz I had a wood wheel that had the same problem and it fixed it..after trying all those dam products.. Lexol, Mothers, Dye... trust me.. cheapest and restored it to a nice and clean shine.
