Please, help!!! Yesterday I noticed that SRS light comes “on” at start (which is normal) and stays “on” (which is not). Nothing has happened that could possibly cause it. Although back in February my car was hit in the right side while parked (none of air bags were deployed, car was drivable and SRS light wasn’t “on”), it's almost two months since I have it back from repair and until yesterday there was nothing wrong with SRS. I'm going to take to the dealer, but is there anything I can do myself before that? Appreciate your help!!!

 

Make sure there's nothing on the pass seat that would cause the sensor to disable the pass side airbag.

 

Is the search function broken or something?

 

id bring it to the dealer for srs issues. you dont want to mess around with that stuff. when that light is on NONE of the air bags work

 

I had a very similar problem .. but in my Accord.. I don't know how similar in electronic design honda and acura, but for me it was the first sign of alternator (of all things) going bad.

In my case SRS light staying on wasn't at all airbag related...

just another thing you may check..

Still, like fsttyms1 said, the airbags DO NOT WORK if the SRS light is on, NO exceptions. It doesn't matter the cause, if that light is on, they will NOT deploy. Have that fixed.
