srs light?

hey, does anyone know how to reset or turn off the srs light on the dashboard? i had to take out my passenger seat to install a navigation unit. when i plugged everything back in the srs light would not turn off. i asked acura how to do it but they said they have to hook it up to some machine and it will cost at least $106.
can someone please help me?!?!

Dissconnect your battery for about 10 minutes and see if that helps. Make sure you have your radio security code handy for when you hook it back up.

When you have a weak battery the SRS light will come on and stay on. The computer senses that you may not have enough battery power to discharge the airbags in an emergency so it leaves the light on as a problem flag.

I had the same problem and put a new battery in and it solved the problem.

the SRS light isn't defeated by pulling the battery. (at least not on the 02-03 models). i wrote a detailed post on how to do this. just do a search using my name. i wrote it around the march timeframe i think. it's not hard to do, just too long to retype

My SRS light came on and I took it to the dealer to find out the problem. Apparently, I have a blown circuit board under my passenger seat and they will be happy to replace/repair it to the tune of $600. Bitched and bitched, but my crappy extended warranty won't cover it. I love my car, but this definitely left a back taste in my mouth as far as Acura is concerned. I'm seriously considering getting rid of my car and getting a Lexus or something elses where quality and service means something.
