SRI/air box question
ok, after i get my springs next week, im going to get one of those cheap ass intakes on ebay, you know, the cosmo racing ones. im getting the short ram intake. i want it to be loud so can i also take out the stock air box resonator? let me know, i know it is a stupid question but any help would be appreciated! thanks!

im new at this so have patience with me:o thanks
Let me see if I can help...the aftermarket intake is not going to be connected to the OEM airbox resonator once installed, meaning the two have nothing to do with one another, thus no difference in sound...the short ram by itself however will be extremely loud as soon as the vtec is opened, but if u just replace the OEM filter with a drop in filter(K&N or Comptech) for your OEM airbox assembly rather than getting an aftermarket intake and then remove the resonator there will be a slightly louder sound and performance gain, plus it's cheaper...I have choosen this option...check my sig!

You learned wisely. Once you try a short ram or anyother intake....slighly will change to the same
in performance of course.
