Unhappy Squeek in Seat back...

The seat back in my 2001 TL has started to squeek. If I push the middle of my back in and out, then it makes a squeek sound like an old mattress. Anyone had this? All this in a seat that sucks to boot.

Check your seat belt buckle. I'm sure the sound is coming for there you may have to grease it a bit.

I've experienced with this problem as well in our 99. Took it back to the dealer, the squeek went away for about a year, now its back...let me know if you find something.

It's not the buckel. It's is the spring in the back. I'm sure of it. Dealer will look at it on Saturday.

I had the same problem, and I never would have guessed it was the buckle. Get some WD40 and spray it along the sides of the buckle insert (not in the insert). Move the buckle back and forth to let the lubricate soak in and work its magic. It worked for me. Good luck.

The Accord is still superior in quality over the TL. Acura cut too many corners to produce better gross margins. Offer up a bunch of goodies at a cheaper price, and the customers will flood in to only find that the brand that they associate with quality product is less than they expect. VW did this, and darn near went under (but Acura has was way to go to get as low as VW).
