Squeek, My Name's Seatbelt!
I've read some of the threads/posts whatever they're called on squeaky seatbelts. I'm about to bring mine into the dealer (for the 3rd time). The first two times they told me they couldn't hear it (cough-bullshit). Anyway, just asking for any advice from any of you seatbelt squeak owners who have fixed it and no longer experience it. Thx.

I guess it would be nice if I asked my question in the post right? Sorry, new to the game. So anyway, just wanted to know what I should tell the dealer when I go so that they don't blow me off again. It's hard knowing when they're telling me the truth. I always get my service done at Acura, since I'm not too familiar with cars.

you can tell them to lube that seat belt buckle where it attaches.... usually at the joint...
or u can do it yourself....
mine is 2003 and its sqeeking.... but i haven't done anything to it yet

I had this problem too. Several trips to dealer. Sometimes they couldn't hear the sound. Sometimes they put this white goo on the seatbelt and once they just put leather conditioner on the seat. Nothing worked until I just squirted WD40 into the assembly and arond the plastic that holds the seatbelt down. ABout 14 months later still no squeak. When I tell the Acura dealer how I fixed the problem they come up with some garbage about how they can't be sure of the safety of WD40. The other thing to do is bring car in and insist that they fully replace the seat belt assembly.

I've had this problem and taken the car to the dealer.
They've replaced the seatbelt buckle thingy a couple of times, but the sound always comes back after a couple of months.
I'll try the WD40 trick since i'm out of warranty...

Replacing it wouldn't solve the problem in the long run, since the squeaking noise stems from a design defect.
Dai is the smart one here. Spraying some WD40 into the assembly area (careful not to get it on the leather) will take care of the problem, at least for a while.
