Squeaking Driver Seat

Hello, recently whenever I move around in the driver seat it squeaks. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? It even squeaks when I accelerate and brake, it seems to be the back part of the driver seat. I can feel it near the seatbelt area.

ya mine does also...a quick fix (well not really a fix, but gets rid of the noise) is to raise the back part of the seat up slightly, when I did that the noise quit, just because of the angle I assume.

I see. thx I made the noise dissappear! But when you raise the seat slightly, how long does it last until it starts squeaking again?

Before the warranty ran out, I had the seat track replaced and that stopped both the noise and the rocking of the seat.

Mine never makes the noise since I raised the back part like 1/2 inch...but Im sure some grease would work also, you would just have to take the seat out - which is very easy.

Ok, thanks. Currently when I move around in the seat with the car is parked, it doesn't make any noise. I still need to hear if it squeaks when car is in motion (accel/braking).

My driver's seat used to squeak as well. Dealer said it was the seatbelt buckle, they replaced it and the noise is gone.

Yeah, I can 'feel' the seat buckle squeaking when i touch it and move around in the seat all at once.

If the squeak comes from the seatbelt buckle, I can assure you that the squeak will come back after the new buckle gets old.

Yup, there's an "Official" fix. It only costs a few bucks; get the parts at JoAnne Fabrics or the like. Takes longer than it should. Gooddamn that noise can get annoying.

FWIW, i had the seatbelt buckle squeek after owning the car for a short time (within a year). Gave it a shot of WD-40 and it's been quiet since.
My passenger seat is starting to squeek when someone sits there. Haven't looked at it yet.

My seat sqeaked all the time, espcially when I accelerated or slowed down and my body weight shifted. I went back to the dealer 4 times for them to address it and just last week had a complete brand new seat installed under warranty. It is as quiet as it should be now, and I have new leather too!

I had this annoying sqeak a year ago. I used Dura-Lube spray lubricant (thick liquid) into the slots of both front belt latches and the problem had not re-occurred since.
