Its not the leather. Its caused by a metal washer pressing against a nylon spacer in the seat buckle bolt. To fix: remove the seat, take a socket and remove the bolt that attaches the seat buckle to the seat, remove the thin metal washer that you will see stacked on the bolt close to the bolt head (the washer has a curved shape to it sort of like a potato chip), then put the bolt back on and you are all set. As far as I could tell the metal washer is designed to press against the nylon washer that fits through the hole in seat belt buckle bracket. Presumably this helps hold the buckle upright when its not attached the the seat belt. However removing it does not cause the buckle to drop down between the seat and console as there are two nibs on the buckle bracket that only allow the buckle bracket to move up or down by about 2 inches. Also, there is still plenty of tension on the nylon washer when the metal washer is removed. I did this fix on both my driver and passenger seat belts about 3 years and 70k miles ago and the squeak has not returned. Some have just sprayed WD40 down between the washer and I tried this too before finally taking the bolt off to see what was really going on, but at least for me the WD40 was only a short term solution and the noise had come back a few months later. It shouldnt take you more than about 1/2 hour to fix it the right way as I described above. I didnt take photos when I fixed mine but once you take the bolt apart you will see exactly how the washer's location creates the much-dreaded sound.

Good luck.

Adjust your seat.... Lift it up from the back side and the sound goes away. You'll get used to ur new seating position. Just lift it about 2 inches OR until it goes away.

The seat comes right up when you undo the bolts. Then there is a plug or two that you'd have to disconnect as well. Note that you dont have to remove the seat from the car altogether to work on it. The only reason to take it off the floor is because its too hard to get to the seat belt buckle with the seat in place. When you undo the 4 seat bolts, you can just tip the seat on its side a little to get to the 2 screws that hold the plastic cover to the side of the seat, and then to the seat belt buckle bolt. I'd recommend you do it in the car so you avoid the risk of scratching the plastic door sill or worse while trying to take the seat out. The metal brackets under seat can easily damage stuff on the way in or out of the car even if you are trying to be careful with it.

The driver seat squeak could also be related to the sliding center console cover and the lever for the lumbar support in the driver seat. When the console cover is all the way back it rubs against the lumbar lever and there is a constant annoying squeak. Sliding the cover forward gets rid of the squeak.

What year is your car? I have an 03 TL-S and there is very little space between the lumbar lever and and the center console cover when it is slid all the way back. I checked out a couple of other 03 TL-S at the dealership recently while my car was being serviced and they were both exactly the same in regards to the lumbar lever and the console cover.
