I don't use it much but when I have it doesn't let me shift to 2nd manually it will do it by itself but the rest of the gears work, and when down shifting it won't let me shift to 1st manually it does it by itself, how do I fix that? Oh and D5 doesn't light up anymore.

 

Nothing u can do about it. It's programmed into the ecu that way. No way to change it.

SS will auto Shift into 2nd to Save some Gas and Protect the Engine otherwise you will be reeving 1st alot getting horrible City MPGs...

Only Way to Control it is to Carefully Press Gas 1/2 to make 1st last longer... IMO: You will look Silly Reeving 1st every Stop.

 

it will stay in first longer if you got WOT but other than that it will shift into 2nd around 2800 rpms and the only way to manually shift all gears is to start in D1 and go up through gate shifting...

 

It auto shifts 1-2 in case your mom accidentally shifts into SS at a red light. It's a family vehicle after all.

 

Useless thread. Search and you can find my DIY for changing the D5 bulb.

 

FYI: You dont have to WOT to Make 1st Last Longer
Anything Beyond 1/2 Gas will.... WOT will make it Redline.
