Spin cast liners

Are the spin cast cylinder liners in the TL-S also a feature found in the TL? I've seen conflicting stories about this.

Also, does anyone know a little more about the process? It certainly doesn't sound like pressed in liners, or something like that. Do they actually cast the aluminum block with the liners held in place with some sort of rig/tooling?

Also, how thick is the liner? Just curious...

From what I've read the TL type S only comes with spin cast liners. The article said they are a performance upgrade and that they basically" do not wear". That's all I know.
