Either or works, if you get components, you'll have to do some modifying and mount them. I'm looking at co-axles right now, and one thing I've found out about speakers, watch the mounting depth, the TL's bose speakers are pretty shallow. I'm sticking around a 2" mounting depth max just to be safe.

I would get a set of components for the front and coax for the rear

With component speakers the tweeter is separate from the midrange speaker. With coaxials the tweeter is mounted to the midrange speaker so its all self contained. Just be aware if you get component speakers you are going to have to mount them. If you don't want to modify and or cut up the car just get some decent coax speakers.

kappa's are a pretty deep speaker. the worst you would have to do is cut the back of the plastic where the speaker is mounted, or just take it out and use an after market spacer. like the other guys said, mounting the tweeter and the crossover is your other complication. i went with alpine coax all around, and im more than happy with it.. if i might throw the idea out, is to dynamat that biotch up. youll see a huge increase in overall sound, little pricey but more than worth it.

yeah type s here also. they will barely fit, youll have to secure them into the factory spacer or after market. damn good speakers for the money. they're good with or without an amp, just make sure you use speaker harness's or get the polarity correct.
