Spark Plugs? and Brake Pads?
Spark Plugs? and Brake Pads?
Two questions: #1 Is there any spark plug that will get me better gas mileage in my 2000 TL? Will either of the NGK or Denso plugs that are often discussed on this site provide for better gas mileage?
#2 Before I bought brake pads 4 months ago, I read that EBC Greenstuff pads were great pads. I also read somewhere that they will have less brake dust than either stockers or some other higher performance pads. My wheels are always black now. In all my years of driving, I have never seen a brake pad that leaves as much brake dust as these pads do. I don't car about all the high performance benefits of brake pads that others may look for, I just want them to help me stop with normal driving and not coat my wheels with dust. Any suggestions?

1) Really you wont notice much - I havent. I just would rather put the best in my car, and when they only cost lik $7/plug and last 100k, why not put the best in?
2) sorry no help, Im still stock

ngk platinum ix plugs
i went with these plugs last month because i too wanted better gas mileage for my 1999. i am experimenting with different ways to get better mileage as im somewhat disappointed with the current MPG's.
this past fillup, i finally went over 300 miles to the tank and averaged 21.57 Miles per gallon.
Im hoping that with headers installed, that i will be over 23 MPG.
regarding plugs, you can get them on ebay for $36.00 shipped. then install them yourself in about 1 hour. i replaced the plugs for the first time (ever on any car) and it was not bad at all with the DIY instruction here on this site.
just make sure you have a good extension for your ratchet, cause one of them is a real problem to remove and replace.
get the good plugs, its $36.00 well spent.
