Spark Plug q's

My car just hit 125 000 miles, and I'm pretty sure I'm still running on the stock plugs. I just wanted to know what are the symptoms of bad spark plugs. I know my other TL cylinder's misfired but with this car everything is butter smooth. I'm just worried about having them in for so long, is there any signs of a bad spark plug??

I randomly sometimes have a starting problem where it starts, hesitates sits at 300 RPM with the engine sputtering and then dies and throw's a TCS code. But ever since it's been lower than freezing outside it hasn't been doing this. Could it be the plugs??

What other maintenance should I do at this millage other than the timing belt which already has been done.

Yea the mileage. You are well due for changing them. Clean the TB, EGR ports.

they should have been done at 105 with the timing belt/water pump BUT that may not have happened
Easy thing to do is remove a front plug and inspect- there are plenty of plug charts online to compare the coloring and wear if you are not sure
Use NGK Iridium spark plugs- just under 7 bucks each local parts stores- the TL is very picky about its parts!
The fact it doesnt run smooth like a 200hp sewing machine- runs rough- dies!!! those would make me look at the tune up parts and also clean the items fsttyms1 suggested
Everything you need to know is in the DIY section

105 is the first real maitenance it gets- everything else is check, replace filters, take the brakes apart and lube...

Be sure to flush the brake fluid- every year!!!

125k miles is not high miles for these cars. I have a 99 TL in the shop now with 180+k miles and engine runs smooth with no hesitation/knocking/noise or anything of sort.

Key factor is to keep up on your maintanance.

125K not all that high anymore, w/ decent maintenance done. Last car had 206K and ran great.

Our MegaMod fsttyms1 (fast times WON!) pulled his engine out at 200,000 miles to install a cl-s motor and 6 speed
So he tore the engine apart and found cross-hatch marks on the cylinder walls- thats how they come brand new!!! it was barely broken in at 200!
He did 100k on dino oil and 100k on synthetic with extreme intervals between change.
Seafoam was used in the oil gas and engine regularly

So no reason for any of us to worry about early engine death, just keep up with the fluid changes, brakes, suspension/steering parts as needed-- and run a TL for
x000000?????
last report- kris had over 250k and going strong
