the 10" sony xplods have a peak wattage rating of 1200w but the important number in finding compatible amps is the RMS wattage which is 300.

that being said lets consider the 1200 watt 2 channel sony xplod amp first.
it outputs 200 watts RMS for each channel so it is safely under the 300 RMS rating of the xplod subs. that means you could pretty much turn the gain on the amp all the way up and still have clean non-distorted bass.

the 4 channel 2000 watt pyle amp is unnecessary. you only need 2 channels and plus pyle sucks. its a pyle of crap...never trust an amp that they sell at target =p

id definitely go with sony xplod amp..the sony engineers essentially designed that amp to work well with the xplod subs. not that other amps wouldnt work..its just nice when the wattage is compatible without having to do much gain adjustment.

as far as the trunk rattling goes, if your trunk is gonna rattle, its gonna rattle...regardless of the quality of the bass. sometimes dynamatting the trunk helps if its the panels that are vibrating but usually its a latch or hinge or license plate...pinpoint the location and be creative and try to get rid of the noise.
in my pathfinder the back trunk door window was rattling so i stuffed tissue in the window latch to give it more pressure and it worked fine =p
i have yet to buy my TL so i dont know (and im wondering) how much rattling there will be in the trunk.

hope this helps..good luck!

i have two 10" kicker CVT's RMS wattage is something like 600 i think?..and my amp, MTX street series 300 (i think hah sorry about bieng so specific.) the amps kicking my subs at half wattage and my car bumps. on some song with the bass turned up you cant hear the music in the back seat. the only rattleing i have is from my licsense plate, i stopped it from doubleing duck tape and stuck it behind it, and my back window rattles but i put carpeting up near the third brake light and it stopped.
and btw. ^^^is right id def. go with the sony amp. def. not the 4 channel one, not neccassry.

if you bought those subs from a store, i would take them back and get something a little better.. sony makes the worst car audio.

so the wattage doesn't really matter wouldn't it be better if i got a 1800 watt amp rather than a 1200 watt amp also would it be better to get a 4 channel amp so they could go to my door speakers or would i have to get aftermarket speakers for that to work what amps would you recommend sony or any brand for my sony xplod 2 10's setup???

Look at the RMS rating and not the Peak rating.
