Sorry long thread needed to vent..turned out ok

Ok so about 3 days ago I drove my ass up to diamond bar (about 30 min from my house) at 8am (on 3 hours sleep) to pick up my mugen grille (150.00) On my way to work I dropped off the grille at a local paint/body shop (my ex boyfriend's dad is good friends with the owner) He said he would sand down the grille and cut out the center piece for me and paint it to match my car. I headed to work and had my friend pick up the grille for me as I would not be getting off work until after they close. He brought me the grille and my mouth dropped open. It was beyond obvious that they did not remove the original black paint before they painted the grille white diamond pearl (you could see the old paint chips through the new paint and it had a grey look to it) additionally when I flipped the grille over they had sawed off the top passenger side mounting bracket for the grille and started to saw off the driver side mounting bracket.

I called my ex and told him what happened and that I needed to meet up with him later. I decided to make the best of it and go ahead with bondo-ing new mesh to the grille. Once my ex got off work I went to his place to show him the horrible job that had been done (At this point I was about to cry :'( as my grille was destroyed! Also this is the 3rd grille that had been destroyed. I had previously modded a clk grille to fit on my car and got into an accident the next day see pic here...http://www.acurainspired.com/forums/...=post&id=25213 I attempted it again and got a little too crazy with the saw and messed up my grille.) So the next day I went to work and my ex took my car to the shop to show them what they did...Bastards told him that I must have dropped the grille and that is why it was like that.. :sqnteek: ..ARG anyway they agreed to color match the grille as it was SOOO off in color and obvious they half assed it.They also offered to have the body shop guy try to fix the mounting bracket but my ex said we will try it ourselves and if it doesn't work he would be back. We ended up MAKING a new mounting bracket and bondo-ing the other cut bracket straight (bondo is always the answer haha) Anyhow the grille looks killer now..a little rigged but still killer

On a possitive note I went out yesterday and got my windows limo tinted all the way around....it looks siiiiick. I need rims but nothing has made me go oooooo yet...So they will ahve to wait. I will post pics of how my baby looks later.....
