Soooo..I found a weird way to bypass buying the Headlight & Ballast (temporary)
Soooo.... I have/ had the same problem as thousands of 03 TL-S owner's, "The headlight/ ballast/ ignitor issue".
Well, Here's what I have came across to always have the faulty headlight come on.
I open the hood, smack the headlight a few times, slam the hood closed, get back in the car, put the car in reverse and flicker the headlight switch, while the car is backing up & PRESTO. 9/10 times it works after 3 flickers. It has been working for about 7 months constant with this method. YES, funny and weird!!??!!
Anyone else have the same luck or similar method?

yes, but I didnt have to bang the headlight or slam the hood on my baby
just flicked the headlight switch however many times
It worked for a little while- then one night on the very dark freeway,
both lights went out
repeated flicking did nothing!! had to feel across the dots to the right lane
,,gave it one more try and back on!
decided I had pressed my luck far enough at that point = fix the problem with new parts

for under 100 dollars- including the plastic bumper pins you mess up-
you can have a whole new HID setup that works every time you turn on the switch.
Seems reasonable to me!
our freeway speeds in the west may exceed the national average,,
light failure on a `no other source of lights` road,,man that was intense~

If I had my headlights Fail in a Night Drive I would just switch to High Beams and caring to switch them Off for an Incoming Driver no Sweat! Then repair them ASAP.
Luckily I have my Fogs HIDs too So x2 Backup Plans.

its the kind of thing you mentally dis-associate- the high beams working without the lows
Just click the stalk instead of rotate the switch and you are good!!
the Minds years of programming says: light switch- rotate for On
When in your life has a double low beam failure ever been a problem,,
nay, even a concept
until it happens~
isnt the simple solution usually the best? high beams

Thats why you would switch them off with Incoming drivers. Slowing down and pop switch them off, and then On. This is in a Middle of the Desert/Nowhere Situation not in City.
It also helps if you have Fog lights I did a quick test and my HIDs Fogs 8Ks light up pretty well enough in the near of the car without low beams.

full kit includes everything for both sides, many like 5000k bulbs for slightly more blue than the stock 4300,,,any higher number,,6000-8000.. loses actual light on the road to see with!! Lumens are the brightness, Kelvin is the color
suggest the optional relay kit $16 (1 does both sides) for dedicated power to the lights- bypass the stock relay setup ,,total for everything well under $100 (kit on sale often, $59 or less plus coupon)
call them and mention acurazine
ships same day or next day from the San Francisco area
see other light threads for install details, very minor mod of an existing hole to allow larger wire in housing bottem, no sweat
I am an unpaid-- satisfied customer
