something weird happens in 4th gear.

I'm in ss mode and red lining through 1st 2nd 3rd and as soon as i put it in fourth, the rpms climb for about 2-3 secs and right before vtec kicks in the rpms drop about200-300rpms lower, why?

with the vfac2 we can set the vtec engagement sooner,so the rpms will not drop as much in 4th gear !!right?

That has nothing to do with RPM. RPM is gear related. there is nothing you can do to change that. A vafc can control the rpm when vtec kicks in but not change rpm itself. you get teh drop because the torque converter locks up droping the rpm by a few hundred

yes i understand, but what i'm saying, maybe if the vtec kicks in sooner, the drop won't be as big.

no it wont change it. The vetec is cam related and the drop is from the torque converter going from a unlocked position between the shift to a locked position. I woudnt change the vtec point at all. Honda has it set at its optimal point for teh ecu tuning.
