Someone using 2gtl ad to rob people

Probably ramblings, but I figure I'd post it here. Someone using an ad for a 2g tl on craigslist to rob people. Poor man was robbed at gunpoint. Sucks big time, but at least he was unharmed.

who carries 2 grand over what the asking price is to any purchase??
who is stupid enough to buy a car at 9pm?
who takes the entire family with them?

this person never read an Oakland newspaper or watched the news,, because this
happens everyday in every town

Note: tell grandma and your kids to hide gold necklace inside shirt while out shopping
Kids will rip it off her neck,,hopefully she doesnt fall and break a hip!

My mantra: I'd rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Wouldn't have been me getting robbed that for sure.

oakland has many problems --- guns in too many wrong hands is a main one
No education, no legit job skills or desire in life = strongarm robbery as a job
necklace thief etc

oddly- stolen cars in that area are used mainly for short ride towards their destination,
and to perform other robberies,,more than getting stripped for parts!

BUYER BEWARE could not be more important to understand!
tooooo good to be true??? ,an 02 with low miles in perfect condition only raced by grandma,,,for only 4 grand
BUT
I can only meet you in the dark,,far from Police help

Here they don't think of scams. They just follow you home then rob you.

Gas isn't too bad out here. Costco station is 3.88. Don't think a TL was ever there.

Any ad I'd respond to would involve being at a BART station or police station. To an intersection in some random neighborhood would involve me and another person both packing. Only had good deals thus far, but haven't done many over Craigslist. Then again, better to lose a few grand in paper than to lose your life.

at bart or police,,hahahahaha 2 places least likely to find a cop!
and more likely to be robbed in general at bart! (rapid transit station)

Chevrons have good cameras if you must meet somewhere
and they have excellent gas,,my TL runs better on it than off brands

CAVEAT EMPTOR never had a stronger meaning
BUYER BEWARE

I know the area where this took place, its a ritzy new condos waaaaaaaay up the hill with a great view of SF... and far far from police patrol areas
An address you wouldnt think of being `a bad part of town`

Goes to show CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!!!!!!!!

ps= that big screen tv in a sealed box some guy in a white van wants to sell you for 200 bucks
the box does NOT contain stated item!! just a brick!

Good points, maybe "Lard Lad Donuts" would be a better choice. It's actually pretty clever for crooks to pick a nice neighborhood and not price the car ridiculously low.
A friend of mine came out one day to four slashed tires.Immediately after he replaced them, the car was stolen.
Lately in the Detroit area, old full size vans are being stolen. Sounds crazy to me, but they're apparently good to store stolen goods.
