Some incredible $hit at the dealer

i was getting a alignment at the dealer after i got my springs and i went in the back to talk to the guy doing the alignment and i see aa brand new RSX type S w/chromes on the rack with the engine almost out. I asked the service manager what happened and he said on a test drive a punk kid took it for a test drive and blew the engine. I couldnt believe my eyes. P.S. dont buy a white RSX type S with chromes at Cush acura in san diego. LOL

70 bucks for the alignment.

I know it was so nice the RSX. what a waste. They will proably put a whole new engine in it. I don think they would fix it???maybe

How in the world a smuck take a test drive and blew the engine? Even the car is in a new engine is different. Maybe the delaer is going to do a desler trade and the car might end up in Florida or some other states.

Why?

Hey, I'm glad Acura stopped making Integras. At least RSXs will make better loaner cars

Anyway, horror stories like these are one reason why we should always insist on brand new cars, with < 10 mi. on the odometer. Even though the dealer could swap or repair the engine, they can't roll back the odometer. Any car sold as "new" with more than 10 miles on the odometer should be considered a post-demo vehicle.

When you hear about the RSX type S you might be thinking that it is a real fast car, well its not that fast as expected. I think its not worth the money.

I test drove one. It seemed fast enough for me, but you have to keep the revs pretty high. Too much trouble for me to do that.

The US should do what the BMW dealer did in Germany.. They have one test car to use. they didnt take a test drive in all the cars just the one. saves wear and tear on all the cars.

Do people still wish they had a 6-speed now?? I'm glad I have SS. I've tried to go from 3rd to 2nd in SS, but all it does is flash "2", a few times, on the display and never downshift. The engine keeps on purring...

I got my TL-S at Cush. I took it back a fews days after I bought it to get the tail pipes aligned, and they had it for FOUR DAYS!! and they're still not even! Needless to say, Cush lost my business forever. I know that's a little off the topic, but I had to vent.
