Some dirty leather cleaning tips....

Well since now I own a Lexus I been checking out the ClubLexus board. I came accoss this thread about cleaning old dirty leather. So i decided to give it a try and WOW did it work, my old dirty leather came out so clean and softer. I recommend anyone with dirty leather seats to give this a try. Please read the thread before trying and after using the soft scrub use a good leather conditioner.

So, I didn't quite get it, so you just buy this soft scrub and without anything you just clean the seats or is there some other solution that comes with it?? i never used a softscrub and dont' even know what they are.....

SOft scrub is a bathroom toliet cleaning product. You can find this product at walmart. Make sure you get the lemon gresse cutting type.

When I first read that post i was like hmm... then I decided to try it, put a little on a small area. waited liek 2 weeks nothing bad happend. Well I finally did it to all my seats and like I said WOW!

All you need is the soft scrub and a few clean white towels a bucket of water and some good leather condtioner.

Put some soft scrub onto the towel, wipe in a circle motion and you should see the dirt comming out. Then get another towel damp it in the bucket of water wipe your seats down let dry. When dry see if any other dirty areas if so they use the soft scrub again, repeat untill all cleaned. Once done wipe on the leather condtioner(I apply 3 coats)

Remember to try in a spot that no one can see first to make sure it wont damage your leather, differnt cars have differnt types of leather and such.

Follow this link
http://www.clorox.com/products/ssgrp.html

you will see that there are differnt types of soft scrub they one you are suppose to use is Soft Scrub® with Lemon this one doesnt contain bleach.
