Solenoid Assembly Question

My car had the Check engine light on and i took it to Acura....the said the Solenoid Assembly was bad anf changed it. now it feels as if my car shifts more rough but firm....and my car shift at 3 to 4 rpm.....

no slipping and ni signs of any tranny failure. they told me it is suppose to shift like that with the new solenoid assembly

has anyone had the replaced and getting the same results?

thanks

Yes it will shift rougher. Contrary to what you might think, the harder the shift the easier on the tranny.

Yup, the faster it can shift the less slip and heat build up. (which is whats killing ours)

Thanks, i noticed after the got replaced when i step on the gas to speed up or have a good pick up my car would shift out of gear between 4 to 5000 rpm, is that normal. it looks like it usually shifts at those points now.

thanks

what do you mean it shifts out of gear between 4-5k? you mean it finally shifts to the next gear there when not floored, or moderate pressure? when it shifts is a direct corelation to gas pressure. the more you press the gas, the later in the rpm band till it shifts.

even when i apply moderate pressure it boost up to 4.5k then shifts...it that normal....i remembered when i got the car back i disconnected the battery for 20 min and connected it again so the ECU would reset.

the shifts are very firm and you can fell the car leap into them.....no signs of slipping

didnt it shift like that before? I know mine typically goes close to vtec point before shifting with moderate pressure. If you think something is wrong (which it probably isnt) bring it back to the dealer and voice your concern there
