What is the Solenoid assembly?

Acura had to replace mine, now after they did i reset my ECU and now my car shift from 0-30 then from 30-60 when pushing on the pedal

use to shift 0-20, 20-40, 40-60 when pushing on the pedal

any ideas

sounds good to me. when i hit the gas hard in my car it goes into 2nd around 35 then doesn't go into third until after 60. Does your car seem faster?

 

yeah it does seem faster after i reset the ECU chip and got the new Solenoid assembly

 

I think I read somewhere on this forum that Acura was resetting the shift points on the ECU during service to prevent tranny damage, although it doens't seem that your shift point changes would help that. Maybe do a search.
