a mustang (old school, maybe a 5.0). I was coming home from the gym at about 2pm and saw this yellow mustang with altezzas (for those of you in Staten Island going on Hylan north, making a right by Top Tomato to get out to Father Cap.). So eventually we get to Father Cap. which is a 4 lane divided by grass (2 in one direction 2 in other) when I think to myself, "I just got my suspended license 'stayed' and I still have my 8 points". As soon as the road turns (SI people: U turn on Father Cap.) He guns it, I see there would be no point in even catching up. 30 seconds later State Police car is flying after him without the lights. About 2 minutes I see another trooper flying and blazing his lights.

Moral of the story, don't race on Father Cap. And when you think there are no cops around....yes there are!

haha...I love that...I had that happen to me. I was going to the pub with some friends of mine in the car, we are driving down State St. here...people used to drag it on Fri. and Sat. night's...the uynder 21 crowd, then they made it illegal, set up checkpoints, anyone seen 3x each in 30 mins. at 2 separate checkpoints (something like that) would be ticketed. Anyway, we are driving down, and I am doing the limit, maybe 3-5 over...limit is 40...I see a motorcycle cop put his gun down and I am thinking... Then this 5.9 Jeep rolls up with some high schoolers in it...they hang out the window and call for a race, all the while my windows are up and the cop has pulled into traffic. He guns off the line and I just roll along with an average start, cycle cop lights him up...and its over. I turn and give the guy a as we drive off...I guess I won the race.

8 points was given to me by the system where its my word against the cop. I was driving the speedlimit at night on a highway see the cop and just keep on going. 30 seconds later car flies by me. About 30 sec after that I get pulled over. I told the officer he pulled over the wrong guy and the response was "You'll plead your case in court and I'll plead mine" He clocked the other guy at 87 (50 was the limit) so this is how I got my 8 points....(It's a very long story involving the judges and my lawyer(s).)

Oh and on top of that a $380 fine and a suspended license which was "stayed" today (thank god)

I guess this is one of those rare situations. I'm sure that this does happen to other people, it's just that I think the worse judges and cops are here in Staten Island, NY
