Angry So lucky

Ok my own friend that works at best buy car audio said that my TL back is 6x9 i went on ebay to find the speakers kuz u can always find them cheaper on there. So i decide to just see how much circuit city was selling theres for since they have 50 pecent off the polks. I go on there and they say 6x9 dont even fit out car. we have 6.5 all around. So glad i didnt waste money and bought 6x9's.

Hopefully my friend works 2morrow im go in there and chew him out LOL!

But my question is we have 6.5 all around correct? I just wanted to vent since its 1 in the morning and my friend is either sleep or riding his motorcycle!

actually they are 5.25in but most 6.5in can fit with no problem. Thats a common mistake with our cars. How many times have I heard people saying TLs have 6x9.

I think they get mixed up with the CLs, they have 6x9 in the back instead of a sub and rear door speakers.

If Polks are what you want, go for it. But def, if you want some good SQ, I'd highly recommend you get some better stuff such as Focals or some CDT Audio's.

haha and Cisko... What is with people and running 2 12"s or 2 15"s? lol I'm running 1 12" in a custom 2.3cu^ft box @ 32hz, and I'm hitting about 130s at the dash, which most setups with 2 12"s hit unless you are running some high end stuff, but at that point, 1 12" can hit up to 140s as my homie's setup with 1 12" FI BTL being pushed by an AutoTek MM4000.1 @ 4200 watts RMS @ 2 ohms.

why are you even upgrading the rear speakers?
use the money you would have spent on those to get better comps up front and be merry.

I agree with tegkid. I actually don't like rear speakers, so I used to have some decent components up front (in the kick panels) powered with 160x2 Wrms (65x4 amp bridged) and then just the sub(s) in the trunk powered with 1200x1 Wrms. I left my rear deck empty so that the bass vented more into the cabin.

Rear passengers used to hate it and say "why don't you have your back speakers on" but my setup was to satisfy me.

A True NY dude knows his shit!!! .....POLK for an upgrade? LMAO?? Why spend money on something thats plays alittle louder??, when you could spend alittle more and get something OFFICAL, that plays much better and could scream with you hearing all the words CLEARLY. Well it also depends how loud you would like to sound, and how loud is that BTW??

You may not care about Audio, but im sure you do about your money. Next thing you know, you may get the full OEM kit, slamm it down, then want some louder music......depends which route you take.......looks first or forced induction!!!!!!

I highly doubt that i will want louder music even if my car is lowered im not going to put louder music make it even more of an attraction. I will stick with the polks that i got i like them i know people that have them. You may want your music loud but not me, everyone has different opinions.

and anyways how much are these speakers that your are talking about around 130 for a pair?
