First, there are no English words that have numbers in them. Spell correctly - you don't have to impress us with bad grammar and poor spelling.

Second, a TQ wrench on a drain plug is really common. Its far more likely it wasn't used and therefore you have a problem. If I remember correctly its 29ft/lbs for 2G oil plug.

Good luck on getting it taken care of. You don't always need a new pan.

That's really over kill and a waste of good oil.

confirming: 29 foot pounds torque on gen2 oil drain plug and trans drain plug

Use new sealing washer on the drain plug to be safe, figuring someone before you has overtightened it and not replaced the sealing washer

Getting the drain bolt too tight can rip threads from the oil pan or stretch the threads on the bolt itself

a torque wrench is the correct tool for the job- it measures the specific amount of force being generated/resisted and clicks or beeps or otherwise tells the tech its at the number they selected

An IMPACT wrench would not be the tool for the job!

Its the lowest tech on the totem pole that gets oil change jobs, not the skilled guys
When they spot a problem with a drain plug they must stop- this is not going to work!!
Need to discuss with the owner and then remove- hopeful all is ok but just in case....

In the OPs case it sounds like the acura dealer called the honda dealer- hey you did an oil change before sale of this used car? that makes you responsible,
do you want the car to fix, or just pay us to fix it?
Many of the dealerships have the same owner too

thats what kind of happend. Honda sent a fax of the records to me showed me everything and i never knew my tranny was replaced already but it showed honda did the last oil change, honda said well we wouldnt do that sent the the work order from Acura and said o ok one of our dumb techs over torqued it bring it in 2morrow and we will take car of it

Overkill maybe. Waste? Not really.

If you buy a 5 qt container, 1/2 quart remains. You *could* just overfill the crankcase a little, but I don't - I fill it to halfway betwen min/max and thats 4.5 qts.

So now I've got a leftover half qt of oil. I'm not going to save up 10 of 'em. Besides the used oil goes into the almost empty 5 qt container.

Might as well run the 1/2 qt of leftover/extra new oil through the crankcase to pull what ever little bit of contamination I can get - it's just getting trashed anyway.

you could try filling the oil level to FULL- MAX, because the car does use a small amount of oil between changes
