Snow Chain question
:wow:
I'd bought the TLS one month from tomorrow and I love. The cars I was looking in addition to the TLS was the BMW 330I, Lexus IS300, Audi A4, Volvo S60 T5, and the Infiniti I30T.
The BMW is a great car but way to expensive with all the options added on. The Volvo was expensive too. I also wanted a bigger car with more space for passengers so that ruled out the Lexus and Audi. And the TLS is a lot more sportier than the I30T.
Anyway, I love driving the car in the sport shift, especially if I need to pass someone, driving up a hill, or when I want more excitement. Otherwise, I leave it in automatic.
When I bought the car, I had to sign a waiver saying I would not put any snow chains or snow cables on the car.
What a bummer. This is the only disappointing thing about the car. I had no squeaks, and no problems. I put over 800 miles on it in the first 3 weeks.
Anyway, sorry to blab (but I like talking about my car). Well, I usually go to Lake Tahoe and I'm always the driver and I would love to drive my TLS up there. I did some research and found something called tire spiders, which can be a replacement for the snow chains\cables for cars with a restricted tire clearance.
Has anyone ever used them? If not, do you use something else or do you not drive in snow with the TLS.
PS. I didn't want to not buy the car because of a few days of when I need to drive in the snow.
Thanks.
