I called them, their located in Inglewood so if i dropped off the lamps it would be 140 and they throw in the brake light tint. Not bad price IMO. I think im gona do it.

 

I had that on my old car. It is a spray tint that goes on there. It looks really good.

 

how's that work? they spray paint the inside of the tails?

 

I guess it looks good if you have a dark color car. But it does reduce the light output. I seen some cars that in day light you can't see their brake light because its smoked out. accident waiting to happen.

Don't know about other states but here in MA any kind of tint/covers on the tails is illegal.

Don't forget the SL55 comes with smoked tails.

 

It is an actual tint they srpay on the outside of the lens. It is brighter than if you had tail covers. Because it is similar to the tint put on windows. I had an all black car it it looked cool. Never got ticketed for it, but I did for window tint .

 

Where can one purchase a tint color spray can? If I screw up can it be removed with paint thinner?

 

Or a ahirdryer. My friend had it on his headlights, peeled off because of the heat.

The SL55 tails are smoked that's true, but remember they have LED lights for the tails. Our TL's have Bulbs so it would obviously be brighter with the smoked tail on the Benz. I just want to smoke the Indicator part of my tail lights. I've seen a few members on here that have that done and it looks tight. Anyone know how to do that?

im not sure... i know the sell some spray that is specifically for that... but i dont know what its called.
