it's been three weeks after my 1st tranny went out, and i notice smoke from the engine last nite. Took it into south coast acura and found out that they messed up on a gasket during the tranny install....f**kd.

I don't know of anyone else having the same problem but if you do after your install, the tech probably forgot something...

no more loaners at southcoast, saw 3 taken in for tranny this morning alone, got a freak'n sunfire as a rental, really a piece of sh*t.

When i took my car in they gave me a Integra.
Nowadays they're gving out the RSX as a loaner...
Maybe, i'll tell them to check something in the engine and take the RSX for a spin!

 

dammit we purchased one of the top model model acuras, when we get a loaner we should get NOTHING LESS THEN AN ACURA!!

 

I won't have mind another acura, but they had a 500sl in the showroom, that be cool to kick around in...they said no more acura loaners were available...so it wasn't an option...maybe i'm spoiled but this sunbird has no power--literally and option wise as well...no power windows, doorlocks, mirrors...reminds me of my truck, but then a truck doesn't need all those gismzo's

 

Hmm, I've been there. They did my header and brake installs. They seem like ok people. Maybe talk with Sean Cooperrider. He has been my contact there.

I saw that 500 sl. They also had an NSX, red no less.

got my car back last nite...but i still notice smoke from under the hood, but it was too late...the service department closed so i wondered if they clean off the residue tranny fluid that leaked out, so i went to the coin wash and engine degreased and high pressure sprayed the engine...so far no smoke but just a slight smell...

when i got my tranny replaced they forgot to plug one of the fan harness and my car overheated to a point where my temp gauge was past H.
