Cool small mod = BIG DIFFERENCE

Has anyone changed their door lock knob to chrome. I bought a set and changed all four to chrome plated. They look nice because it matches the door lever and the lock/unlock switch...sorry, I don't have a digicam.

I've check with Pep Boys, Kragen Auto Works, etc...but the only store I could locate them was at Autozone. I believe it is only $3.99 or less for a pair.

Is it like a cap? Similar to a pencil cap?

It's the knob/pin that pops up when you unlock your door.

No, it replaces the entire original knob/pin.

What is involved in doing this mod? Do we have to take apart the door?

No, all you have to do is unscrew the original knob with your fingers and screw on the new ones...

Hehe, I saw some wood ones but they didn't match. Where can we get chrome ones online? We don't have Autozone over here in the NW.

Too bad the alarm LED wasn't in that knob... might look cool.
I'm thinking chrome might look out of place way up there by itself. I have parchment interior, and... can't quite picture it. Maybe wood, like Nate was saying, if it matched.
pics!

Why chorme? Why not some other material that would match better...maybe burlwood. But chrome...that's so GM'ish.
