slow start up/ spark plugs ?
i'm just wondering if there's a way that you can tell if spark plugs are installed wrong.. ? i installed mine a while ago, and when i started the car, the start up was kinda slow/long.. about 1-1.5 secs.. i mean its noticable.. b/c before that, i had a slow start up b/c of low/dead battery and after changing the battery, the start up was so so quick, litterally half a sec.
i didn't think much of it after installation, but now, it's starting to bother me .. b/c i definitely can tell its a slow start up while everyone else thinks that normal.
btw, it can't be the battery, only 5 months old.

there isnt a right way or wrong way to install plugs. their either in or they arent.
by slow start up do you mean the engine cranks over slower or it takes that much longer before the engine starts?

well, slow meaning, you konw that sound; it's hard to imitate but i'll try - "tich tich" then the engine starts.... well, it goes like this now, "tich tich tich, vroom.." (this is all done within 1.5- 2 seconds.) before it was "tich vroom..." like .5 seconds.. what are coilpacks and how much would they run for? will a local parts store (advance auto/ autozone) have it?
currently at 100100 mi. replaced the spark plugs around 90-93k..

mines always started that way always took about 1.5 seconds. coilpacks are the distributer replacements on our cars. notice we dont have spark plug wires??? well they replaced the distributer and and plug wires. they sit on top of each sparkplug

ive found that by switching to iridiums and lowering the gap from the NGK OE of .044 to the acura spec of .040 the car takes about a full second to start when cold... when warm it takes much less, the "tick vroom" you refer to...
