i think i read the opposite that slotted rotors are better for quick sprints where as drilled needs a lil heating before sprints.

Ehh, this isn't really a race car, so slotted/dimpled and crossdrilled are about the same. The thing with crossdrilled rotors, is that they might crack. Go with slotted/dimpled. get better brake pads. The entire point to slotted/dimpled/crossdrilled rotors is to disipate heat. Crossdrilled rotors do a better job at it but you have the high rist of cracking.

Pads dude, upgrade pads first. That will have the most effect. Slotted/Drilled are really for looks only on OEM size rotors.

Note that if you get certain pads, they might eat your rotors. Which is why people buy other rotors to get sport pads for improved performance.

SungChiaoWu yes even with name brand (for stock rotors). I'm not sure about the Big Brake kits though but they are expensive.

I bought my rotors for show, that's all.

do NOT get aftermarket pads on stock rotors, they will eat them up and make the braking worse. if your gonna do it, do it right. brembos DO NOT come slotted or drilled or anything from the factory.the only brembos that are crossdrileld and slotted are ones that are bought by companies and they slot them and drill them themselves. that MAY make the rotor weaker. there are other rotors that are slotted from the factory. that means they are made liek that. those would probably be better.

There was some mail and an article in SCC that recommends slotted and dimpled as the best way to go for performance and reliability all in one...

Oh yeah, I got some Endless brake pads (less than a week ago) on my stock rotors and they seem fine. Granted I'm still bedding them, but they seem to have a bit more bite...
