Sloppy Tranny
I don't know if I am just being paranoid, but I seem to be noticing a lot of quirks in my tranny lately. I mostly drive in D5 (90 percent of the time) and the car only has 6100 miles on it (2003 model).
1. Whenever I press the accelerator, there is a noticeable lag before the car accelerates...as long as 1-1.5 seconds.
2. When I am cruising at 45 mph, for example, the RPMs fluctuate between 1200 and 1700 without my changing the pressure on the accelerator.
3. The car never seems to get comfortable in a gear at a set RPM and just "cruise", regardless of speed.
I have not experienced any sudden surges in RPM or automatic drops in gear...yet.
This is very dissapointing given the recent LA Times article.

i have 03 s and well i only have 1300 miles and i at times fell slight jerks when i start accelerating from a stop. and the car seems like it is slowing down when i let off the gas like instead of of a slow deceleration it is a more dramatic decleration..
its weird i dot think the car should feel like this.

For me, I keep my foot on the pedal lightly until I feel the car accelerating, if you press to hard, there is a slight 0.5-1.5 lag before it just "KICKS" so.... keep it easy on the pedal..
Maybe Honda engines are just.... *kinda smooth*.. :o
..................
When you are cruising, I like to set it on sport shift and keep it on gear 5 when im up 60MPH+ *sense of security*
..................
I am getting paranoid as well... but then again, they said they fixed it for the 03 models...
