Sloppy dealer technician-good customer service

Took my car in because the bulb blew behind my clock and the fog light switch no longer worked. Get the car back and there's about a 2" deep scratch on the dash. And a 2" scratch in my driver seat which tore the leather. I was pretty pissed because it meant another trip back to the dealer. But they happily replaced the entire bottom portion of the driver seat and replaced the console that wraps around the odometer, clock and AC buttons. They gave me an RL to drive around for the day so I give Proctor Acura an A+ for customer service. But an F for careless mechanics and their tools.

Oh, the RL felt heavy and slow, can't believe the sticker price on those things. They must be nuts.

I've always wondered why people even by RLs, for that much money you could get a nice V8.

VipVop since driving one I've now noticed it's usually older people that drive them. Maybe their the ones that hate American cars (won't buy a cadillac) but at their age need a big boat to drive around. I don't know, but all day I kept thinking I wouldn't buy this if the sticker was $30k.

I want the new RL! Looks hot and with AWD and 300hp, it shouldn't be the heavy boat it used to be.
As for your experience, I've had that before too. I hate when they do something wrong and they have to be extra nice to you while they replaced or fix whatever they broke. Why can't they be more careful in the first place?

I took mine in to have the Shifter Gate Bezel replaced because mine was damaged when I bought it new. They replaced the bezel o.k. but they left three pry marks in the part of the consol that surrounds the diagnostic port access panel (on older TL's). They would do anything about it because the tech said that it's too much of a hassle to replace it. I think three or four times before I take anything to them anymore. :thefinger

Mine just blew too? Did they charge you? How long did it take? Was it under warranty?

They fixed it the same day and it was under warranty. Got an RSX to drive that day. Still missed my car though.
