I have ground controls on my TL and I really like them. Supposedly ground control makes the best sleeve-type coilovers. Also, ground controls are adjustable by hand since it utilizes a single locking spring perch design. Most generic coilovers(including skunk2) use a dual perch design that requires special adjustment wrenches. Another pro to ground controls is that Eibach manufactures their springs, ensuring great quality. The only real downside to ground controls is their price($350-389 vs. $289 for skunk2's) But you get what you pay for.

I know that the price isn't that much, it's just that they are pricier than skunk2's. The lowest drop on ground controls is like 3" I believe. Not as low as most generic coilovers but much more reliable. The handling is great with the ground controls. Even better than my Neuspeed Sport Springs.

OH SH*T, ground control for Tl's cost approx 4 bills??? i thought it would cost more since tl is a luxury car! i might go get some then. do you have to align your car or what? cuz i dont want to get ground control and have it eating up my tires. Hey, j83...which coilovers cost 1000 bucks? is it comptech? maybe i should go with the $1000 coilovers?

The $1,000 coilovers are Apex'i and NEX coilovers. But you get what you pay for though.

I used to have Ground Control on my car and the ride was great, not harsh at all, but the handling was OK compared to my NEX now, with the NEX there's NO bodyroll at all, but the ride is a little harshed than the GC. You get what you paid for though, the NEX is a full coilover with shocks and GC is sleeved meaning with no shocks. So meaning you would have to get new shocks in 1-2 years. But unfortunately I need money so I'll sell my NEX if anyone is interested, $800 + shipping!
