My dealer just called me back and is taking deposits. Mine is first. He found the VIN series with the paint codes. There are two VIN lists for TL-S with separate colors. The traditional automatic is available in two colors for the TL-S. However, there is a second list with a K6 ending and more colors for the TL-S. The K6 has traditionally indicated a manual six-speed transmission. The dealer did indicate that it could be a auto six, similar to what is in the Vette.

This may be the best of all worlds. Horsepower, direct control of the gearing, and a luxury car to boot! Move over 5 series.

 

Can't say move over 5 series until the TL has more than 400h.p. I don't think that'll be anytime soon...

What are you talking about!?! Please don't compare the M5 to a TL. Besides, we are talking a sport/luxury sedan for about $33,000 and an awesome machine for $75,000 (not including waiting list or mark-up). If we all had the money, we'd get the M5. A TL-S is more than half the M5 for half the money. It's a no-brainer.

 

I didn't compare Acura to BMW first. But already today the TL is an unbeatable value compared to the 5. Only difference is that the TL might get a manual. Although the TL will never have the balance of the 5 series. Don't get me wrong, I still love the TL.

 

hmmm... 6 speed. Tempting... but can't afford to trade in my car just yet. Only if they had it half a year ago when I bought my TL.
