Okay it's really not that difficult to spot HID lighting. It being yellowish could just be a sign of age. You mention it's a 2000, but you didn't mention the mileage. ALL 99+ TLs have standard HID.
Do this to confirm:
Turn on the headlights
Get out of the car (take the keys)
Lock the door with the remote
Wait for the headlights to cut off
Hit "UNLOCK" on the remote
This will turn the lights back on. HID lights come on instantly (like LEDs) and they should create an almost camera-like flash as they start-up and they should be a deep blue until they warm up (takes only a few seconds)
If the lights just sort of come on and are yellow even then, you have halogens.

What kind? is the stock HID comes from factory Honda light for TL.
Mine are the original in my 2000 and they are starting to go down in K. They after they warm up are sturting to look closer to Halogens (yellowish). Ill be looking at replacing them as soon as my tranny conversion is over

Kris, do me the favor of replacing one and taking a photo comparing the two HIDs. i wanna change mine, but i figured buying new ones, the light output might not be that much better/greater... so it'll be a waste of money - figured i just can wait till they burn out. but maybe if i can see the differnce it could help me decide.
ofcourse i'll be sticking with 4300 or 6k
