Sidemarkers
Ok, so I got my BMW sidemarkers and I have a couple questions..
How much did you guys pay to have yours installed? And how hard was it to find someplace willing to do it? I stopped at like 5 places and one is going to call me back, 1 wanted to take my car for two hours to get an estimate (!), and the others were absolutely not going to attempt it

A lot of people won't do it because they're afraid that they will f*ck up the fender. I got ripped off for $150. If you could get it done under $100 then do it, otherwise do it yourself (if you don't know how to wire it, then drill the holes, go to a shop and have them wire it for you for like $20). You'll need 2 holes.
A shop should tell you there and then how much it will cost, they don't need to take your car for 2 hours.

Has anyone done it themselves? Pointers would be great
Otherwise, can someone send me some close ups of their holes (since the things just pop out)? I don't think it's quite a circle so it could get complicated
Anyway, If I can't find a place at a reasonable price then I'm gonna do it and I'll write up some kinda DIY thing. With pics from my crappy camera

The saga continues..I went to some 'custom' shops and they wanted $200, regular collision center wanted $450, best price was $300 or $150 off the books with no warranty. Most places just said no way..Sounds like cutting the sheet metal isn't as easy as expected..anyone with experience?

they charge me 60 buck for the sidemarker include labor. I got that good price because my car had an accident that is why they fix the accident part and install side marker for me.

Buy some sheet metal and practice with a dremel. Use a drill to remove large parts, dremel for small touches. You should end up with a square and a rectangle. Another piece of advice is to do it right below that line on the car, not too low or else the sidemarker won't sit tight to the body of the car due to curves.

This is mine sitting too low (should be right below the line):

and this is my minor problem:
