It will be quite a drive, my friend! Bloomfield, NJ is in northern jersey, so it will take at least 3 hrs depending which part of MD you are coming from.

Why don't you find a shop in Maryland instead of driving all the way to northern NJ just for sidemarkers? Just ask some of the guys from Maryland if there is a shop around there. I'm pretty sure there is. But if there isn't and you are willing to drive up here then let me know.

It is $125 installed.

Like every other performance shops, they do almost everything.

The sidemarkers look great....
but for those who live in snowing area... don't u guys worry about rusting all that kinda stuff since you have to drill a hole and there will be some parts that rust really easily? How do u prevent that??

You paint it using a quality rust preventative paint. And try not to scratch it off during installation.

I was also wondering the exact same thing! I mean, what kind of implications would drilling a hole into the sheetmetal and installing these in. I would have guessed that rust would start at these such places, anyone agree?

If that is not true, then I'm definitely getting those

I suggest something more intended as a rust preventative primer first and follow up with a rust preventative paint. If your really worried about it.

I wouldn't think it's all that hard to install, just drill the holes in the exact spot on each side. Probably get only one chance and I can't imagine how bad it will look all missaligned.

Use a qualty drill bit and always start with a small drill and make a starter/pilot hole.

I would imagine these side marker lights consist of a lens which mount on a base piece. I suppose theres a couple of screw holes and a bigger hole for the bulb and wire. And you simply snap the lens on it. Or it could just be double stick tape with one hole for the wire.
The more flush it is, the bigger the whole in the center to clear the bulb assembly?. The more the light sticks out, prob less. I'm not sure, just guessing.

As for the wiring, I suppose you can wire it to stay lit with the parking lights and flash when using the signal. Or lights up only when using the signal.

BTW, I would get a second replacement set of the marker lights. Nothing worse than having the lights break or damaged only to find out the company no longer makes those specific lights. Now what do you do with the holes on your fenders

Done that too... but I doubt it's gonna break... I mean it's very very unlikely unless you get in to an accident...

Exactly, I've never looked at one of these lights. I guessed some inexpensive versions could be of cheap quality and made of brittle plastic.

Am I even close with the guessed description??

My friend got his sidemarkers installed by a bodyshop. You can always try the bodyshops, afterall they got the stuff to treat the openings before the seal it.

I like it! I think a superwhite bulb in there would look even nicer, but has the downside of maybe attracting cops. Any shops in SoCal area do this?

Thanks!

BTW, my sidemarker light is blue, not white (I guess because of the lighting from the camera). I don't know about white but blue is illegal.

Everything was $125 (pretty cheap)...includes installation, sidemarkers, and bulbs.

Thanks to me, Pawel finally got his sidemarkers installed today. They look great as you can tell by the pics.

A lot of you guys are probably thinking that they cut a huge hole to install the sidemarkers. But actually, the hole was less than 1 inch wide, just big enough to pass the bulb through. And it can be wired anyway you want.

I recommend getting them because it makes your ride stand out even more, especially at night.

BTW, the Inspire/Saber comes with them, why not our TL?

BTW, can you put all those pics in a link and send them to me thru e-mail.

Thanks bro!

Binh,
Did you ever find out what brand your sidemarkers are? I've been looking for something that sits flush like yours.
Thanks,
Peter.
